advent-ures

I remember when our children were younger, and we'd be out in the car, maybe coming back a different way from some place, our daughter would get a little concerned if we seemed to be lost...I'd say, no, we're on an adventure.  And years later, even to this day, she will occasionally say, now tongue in cheek, "Mum, are we on an adventure?"
Yes, Jessica, we are on an adventure.  Life is full of advent-ures, when God comes, bursting into our life, noticed or unnoticed, bidden or unbidden.
May this Advent bring us clearer vision to notice God's coming, in the mall, the car, the lost-ness and the bustle of pre-Christmas life.
